So I’m back with the latest news on the world of rock! Today I come to you with news on Pearl Jam vocalist, Eddie Vedder, Shinedown’s success, and Jim Marshall dies at 88. Let’s get started!

First off I want to announce that Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam has postponed his solo tour dates due to nerve damage in his right arm caused by a recent back injury.

“After having worked aggressively with doctors and physical therapists for the last eight weeks to repair the damage, intensity of the damage and time needed to heal has made it impossible to play shows as scheduled," - Kelly Curtis, Pearl Jam’s manager.

The old dates started April 10, and ended on May 17, have been pushed to October 31 through November 28, playing 22 shows throughout 15 cities. New tour dates are as posted:

Also as a quick little fun fact, Van Halen will be playing at the Amway Arena April

Shinedown has reached the tops of the charts! Coming in as number 4 on Billboard and number 2 on iTunes. Shinedown’s new album “Amaryllis” focuses itself mainly on the cause of bullying. Their first single, released January 3rd, is the song “Bully” and man does it hit hard. A firm message is created with this song.

And now to remember the great Jim Marshall. Jim Marshall, creator of the Marshall Amp, died at 88. The Marshall Amp was created to fix the problem of there being no inexpensive alternative to American made amps, as Pete Townshed of the Who brought to Jim’s attention. Thanks to Jim for all the hard work he has put into changing the rock world!

Well that’s all for today, I will be giving you an album review on Monday as soon as I find a ride to the mall to pick up Stick To Your Guns’ new album, "Diamond". Until then, rock on.

-Zachary
