Toronto indie alternative trio, The Nursery has become known for their danceable tracks in the last few years, and they're doubling down on it now with an EP of remixes, including lead single, She Speaks The Wave.
One of three songs on the Reworked (Remixed) EP, She Speaks The Wave - Parallels Remix is a fresh take on a hot track. And it's one that feels like it was made for movement!

When asked why she chose the song and wanted to be part of the project, Parallels (Holly Dodson) said, "I always loved She Speaks the Wave, and always get it stuck in my head. So I wanted to keep it as true to the original as I could but add Italo/electro production elements... so the synth waves add a new dimension to the 'wave' theme. I loved the grand piano part so wanted to feature that off the top, as a grand introduction. Alex tied it all together, and he suggested adding a robotic voice in the bridge area during the breakdown, instead of a transitional solo. So it was cool to go back and forth with ideas as well."
The new layers and additions to the song give it a little something extra that the band didn't have the first time around. And while we aren't taking anything away from the original She Speaks The Wave from 2016's Digital Ashes (it's a banger), the Parallels remix is straight fire.
We've been told that The Nursery is (with great secrecy) working on new music to follow up their 2017 full-length debut album, Life After Wartime, and if they continue to run they've been on we know it's going to be a whole lot of good listening.
With a bio that describes the band as a "vibrant 3-piece... who weave hazy, neon-drenched atmospheres into songs both hypnotic and full of driving energy." these remixes shouldn't come as a surprise to industry or fans. But what they should do is create a desire to dance and listen on repeat.
