It’s always a day for celebrating when there is a new Sharon Van Etten track to obsess over. Getting ready for the release of her new EP I Don’t Want to Let You Down on 6/12 means we’re blessed with a new track with much more frequency. Taking a turn away from the full band and orchestral feel of her previous full length, the incredible Are We There, the new songs are much more in tune with the quietness of her first two records. “Just Like Blood” features the singer with relatively sparse backing music – making her fragilely powerful voice and gut-wrenching poetry the center of the track..
