A set of new online and mobile games have been released by Kabam for Peter Jackson’s upcoming J.R.R. Tolkien’s book-inspired movie, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
The simple, fun-based games include two free-to-play online games titled “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug – Barrel Escape“ and “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug – Spiders of Mirkwood.” In addition, the game developer has updated its’ popular game The Hobbit: Kingdoms with a new “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Expansion Pack” which adds new levels of gameplay which involves defeating the dragon Smaug, new armor, weapons and many more.

These games are pretty basic, like guiding Kili through a river steam while he rides a barrel, shooting arrows. These games are fun to play and has impressive graphics. They also got me wondering whether we would get to see these scenes in the movie. These are not the best games, but it’s enough to get you excited about the upcoming movie which is heading out to theaters on December 13th.
