Tomorrow evening [Friday 7th November, 6pm onwards] sees the launch of a brand new season of Lancashire Dead Good Poetry Society's open mic nights.
We are in a new venue - the function room upstairs at the lovely Moo Bar, 31-33 Queen Street, Blackpool - and it's a FREE and OPEN event, so EVERYONE is WELCOME to come along and perform if you want, to or just sit and listen and enjoy.
There is a bar, there is food, there is tea and coffee. There is also a theme for the night - Onomatapoeia - but no one will pay much attention to that, so really anything goes [within reason]. Rhythmic ruminations are okay, there will be a minimum of bullshit, plenty of prime poetry and maybe a smattering of prose.
It would be great to see as many people there as possible, so tell all your friends and make it a date.
