Northside Fest isn’t the only festival hitting New York City this week.  Sunday marks the opening night of the first ever NMS New York Music Festival.  For the festival, New Music Seminar (NMS) is teaming up with partners FILTER Magazine and Coulter Company Inc. for 4 nights of music ranging from indie, jazz, and reggae to R&B, hip hop, and bluegrass.  The over 150 confirmed artists playing the festival will be hitting 17 New York venues including Pianos, Santos Party House, Webster Hall, Cake Shop, and Cameo Gallery.  Festival badges are currently on sale here for $399 ($249 for students).

On the second night of the festival, Santos Party House is hosting the “Artist On The Verge” showcase featuring The Dig, Ninjasonik, Maren Morris, and Black Cobain.  The event is affiliated with AOV Top 100, a music chart that lists unsigned artists by not only looking at record sales, but also social media activity, legal and illegal download numbers, touring history, merch sales, media attention, and various other factors.  And they’ve brought these four bands together as an indicator of what’s about to pop.  Sounds pretty exciting right?  Well, you can win two tickets to this event by simply following the instructions below.  We will announce a winner this Friday, June 15 via our Facebook page.
