There’s a movie called Gray State that depicts exactly the dystopic future that many of us fear for America — one of societal breakdown, martial law, FEMA camps, and civil war.
Watch this trailer and tell me if you aren’t stunned by this movie:
Here’s the description on Gray State‘s official website:
The GRAY STATE Project
The world reels with the turmoil of war, geological disaster, and economic collapse, while Americans continue to submerge themselves in illusions of safety and immunity. While rights are sold for security, the federal government, swollen with power, begins a systematic takeover of liberty in order to bring about a New World Order.
Americans, quarantined to militarized districts, become a population ripe for tyrannical control. Fearmongering, terrorism, police state, martial law, war, arrest, internment, hunger, oppression, violence, resistance – these are the terms by which Americans define their existence. Neighbor is turned against neighbor as the value of the dollar plunges to zero, food supplies are depleted, and everyone becomes a terror suspect. There are arrests. Disappearances. Bio attacks. Public executions of those even suspected of dissent. Even rumors of concentration camps on American soil.
This is the backdrop to an unfolding story of resistance. American militias prepare for guerilla warfare. There are mass defections from the military as true Patriots attempt to rally around the Constitution and defend liberty, preparing a national insurgency against federal forces, knowing full well this will be the last time in history the oppressed will be capable of organized resistance.
It is a time of transition, of shifting alliance, of mass awakening and mass execution. It is an impending storm, an iron-gray morning that puts into effect decades of over-comfort and complacency, and Americans wake up to an occupied homeland. It is a time of lists. Black list, white list, and those still caught in the middle, those who risk physical death for their free will and those who sell their souls to maintain their idle thoughts and easy comforts. It is in this Gray State that the perpetuation of human freedom will be contested, or crushed.
Is it the near future, or is it the present? The Gray State is coming – by consent or conquest. This is battlefield USA.
Encompassing the world of conspiracy theory, economic collapse, global disaster, end-time prophecies, martial law, and growing civil unrest, GRAY STATE is a piercing look into the immediate future in which the withered remains of freedom are traded for an impression of security.
GRAY STATE is the reality that can no longer be ignored. It is coming – by consent or conquest.
Alas, the movie was never made.
David Crowley
Gray State was conceived in November of 2010 by David Crowley and Danny Mason, to be shot in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Crowley was Gray State‘s script writer. The movie’s website describes him as a “writer, producer, director, editor, VFX artist, composer” who “has been making movies since high school, and after getting out of the military in 2009, has been doing so professionally.”
As an independent movie project outside of Hollywood, the movie needed and was soliciting funding.
Now we know why the movie was never made.
The New York Daily News reports that two days ago, on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, the decomposing bodies of a Minnesota couple and their 5-year-old child not seen since Christmas were found in their Apple Valley home in an apparent murder-suicide, police said.
A neighbor discovered the bodies of David T. Crowley, 29, a screenwriter, director and Army veteran, along with wife Komel Crowley, 28, and their 5-year-old daughter, Rani, the Star Tribune reported.
The neighbor, Collin Prochnow, told the Star Tribune that he saw the corpses that “didn’t look human” through the front door window with a gun nearby after noticing the lights on and packages piled up at the home’s entrance.
Police found a gaunt family dog inside the home but offered no details pending an investigation.
Crowley served a tour of duty in Iraq during his five-year stint in the Army and met Komel, who ran her own dietitian business, while stationed in Texas. The couple bought their Apple Valley home in 2013.
David & Komel Crowley
Charles Hubbell, who had worked with Crowley on Gray State told Twin Cities.com, “It’s always great to have young, gorgeous people come to our house and look as happy as they are. They were gorgeous, and they had this happy and bubbly and talkative child.”
The NY Daily News article ends with painting Crowley as a gun nut — how he began “wearing fatigues” and cutting his hair short in the past year, and “had a fascination with guns” and a “passion for war gaming, including one that features a trunk with seven guns and even more ammo clips inside.”
So, was it a murder-suicide or were the “young, gorgeous” and “happy” couple and their “happy and bubbly and talkative child” assassinated?
You decide.
