Pennsylvania artist James McNabb created a beautiful collection of architectural sculptures using scrap wood. He describes his process as “sketching with a band saw.”

The intention was to build many individual wooden pieces which resembled tools or other strangely familiar objects but after building 250 in a day they began to resemble a miniature city. You can see more on his website.
