Jeeves and Company Restaurant: Scottsburg, Indiana

Our lunch stop was a local favorite: Jeeves and Company in Scottsburg, Indiana.

With a gift shop on one side and a stylin’ restaurant on the other, it’s no wonder that this Scott County restaurant is so popular!

My husband, Jeremy, and I had joined up with the Our Small Towns – Thinking Regionally group which included lunch at Jeeves and Company.

The locals in the OSTTR crowd seemed rather thrilled by the proposed lunch venue and, judging from the packed house, it’s a very popular local option!

But we were sure surprised when Scottsburg’s town Mayor, William Graham, spoke to our group and mentioned that his son was the new owner! Pretty neat and, again, just goes to show how small town folks are often connected. I just love that. Don’t you?

The menu had a lot of interesting options. I could have gone for the Warm Baked Brie Salad or the Reuben Sandwich (you know me).

But a Creole Cajun BBQ Burger was the special that day and, well, sometimes you just need a burger.

Jeremy, my husband, ordered the Cuban Bistro Burger. Corned beef, Swiss cheese, German mustard, green pepper, baby spinach served on a croissant. It looked delicious!

He meant to order the lobster bisque as well but forgot. Oops.

Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere. Antique tables and mismatched chairs, walls are hung with paintings for sale (at least in the room we sat in at the back) while the rest of the restaurant uses different odds and ends to decorate the walls. Visually–it works!

The food was very good, our server was friendly, and you already know I love the way it felt. It’s another “must see” to add to your small Indiana town list.
