Scoping Meetings to Be Held for Northwest 138 Corridor Project on Mar. 15 & 18

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) are formally initiating studies for the Northwest 138 Corridor Improvement Project. This study covers the SR-138 Corridor between the I-5 and SR-14 and will expand on the recommendations from the previous North County Combined Highway Corridor Study which was completed in 2004.

The scoping meetings are an important step in the preparation of a Draft Environmental Impact Report/ Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIR/ EIS) in accordance with State and Federal requirements. This is your opportunity to learn about the proposed project and provide comments or suggestions as part of the formal environmental process.

Please plan on attending the scoping meeting that is most convenient for you. Content provided at these meetings will be identical. Those unable to attend the meetings can view and comment via a live-stream starting at 9:30am on Saturday, March 15, at ustream.tv/channel/nw138.

Saturday, March 15, 9:30am – 11:30am, at the Antelope Acres Community Center, 8812 W Av E-8, Antelope Acres, CA 93536

Tuesday, March 18, 6:30pm – 8:30pm, at Grace Chapel Neenach, 25649 W Av D, Lancaster, CA 93536

The formal comment period extends from February 28 to April 18, 2014. Submit your comments by participating in the Scoping meetings or by using one of the following methods:
