If you have seen The X-Files Season 4 Episode 8, you know what I’m talking about here.
On June 30, 1908 happened The Tunguska Event in Siberia, a gigantic explosion that reported as thousand times more powerful than the Hiroshima bombing. No one knew what exactly happened and only suspected that it was a meteorite hit. Now, Andrei Zlobin, a Russian scientist claims to have found the first ever fragments from that meteorite.
“This expedition took place in 1988 and for some unexplained reason, Zlobin waited 20 years to examine his haul in detail. But in 2008, he sorted the collection and found three stones with clear evidence of melting and regmalypts, thumblike impressions found on the surface of meteorites which are caused by ablation as the hot rock falls through the atmosphere at high speed.” as stated on Technology Review.
According to the news, more analysis and research needs to be made before figuring out what this is or where it came from. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this to be something from Mars. I Want to Believe!
