“This is the first device that we know of that can do three-dimensional, continuously multidirectional cloaking, which works for transmitting rays in the visible spectrum,” said Joseph Choi, a PhD student at Rochester’s Institute of Optics.

This device is not the first time we heard of a cloaking device. There have been many experiments over the years that lead to making things appear invisible. However, most of those project never managed to escape concept stage or leave its experiment labs to stand out as a fully-functioning device. Well, at least not yet. Maybe this new breakthrough could help change the future of invisibility technology.
