School is out for another year but the fight to keep school sports running is starting up again. Many schools are digging in deep for another year of keeping particular sports alive or looking at cutting activities altogether. The past few years have been rough for school sports programs and this year looks no different.
Many teams like the Cal athletic department are fighting a long battle to keep things going. Try reading this article called Cal’s smaller sports saved but not out of the woods or Modified sports restored, but kid boosters press on that talks about the Greenville Central School District’s hard decision to scrap sports activities for kids in grade 7 and 8. The decision ended well, for now but the funding is getting tighter.
