I was running 10 miles as a part of my training for the upcoming Potomac River Marathon. Eight miles into my run on the Mount Vernon trail a couple pointed out a bald eagle high up in the tree. I had my music blasting loud and don't usually pay attention to others, but I'm glad I took my earplugs out to see what this couple was saying. I looked up and saw this beautiful bald eagle. I took a picture of it on my camera phone,but as you can see it is hard to even identify the bird.
