“Music For Touching”, the debut single off of Cookies’ (a new project from Mobius Band co-founder Ben Sterling) new album, is one excellent electro-pop treat. Naturally, it’s hard to resist music, or artists for that matter, with names that are particularly on point. Cookies? Music for touching? All things we like. The song wastes no time getting directly in your face: pounding piano keys underlie effortlessly sultry female vocals. And as for the lyrics, ( “I don’t wanna be lonely, I don’t wanna be out all night, looking for you.), well, just because we’re all constantly saying it, doesn’t make it any less true. In the end, this addicting tune is the perfect mix of punch, longing, denial and lust.
