About satthwa

Satthwa means “pure” in Sanskrit and we stand by our motto “pure to the core”. Satthwa was started by Prashant in early 2016 with the introduction of the Satthwa Premium Hair Oil, since then the hair oil has benefited thousands of users and the success of which lead the way to researching on other natural products. With that in mind, 100% Pure certified organic essential oils have been launched in 2017

My experience with satthwa Lemongrass essential oil

Satthwa Lemongrass essential oil claims to be 100% pure and organic. I can tell that it is indeed pure and highly concentrated. They are USDA certified too?. Organic essential oils are more effective and they are the best one to use. Because when it is claimed to be organic, the plants from which the essential oils are extracted are not treated with harmful pesticides or chemicals. If they are not organic then the chemicals used as a pesticide get into the plant and as a result, the chemical residues may be present in the non- organic essential oils. So now that the importance of organic essential oil is understood let me quickly talk about its packaging. It comes in an amber colored glass bottle with plastic cap. The safety cap inside is with a dropper opening making the packaging user-friendly.

The fragrance of this Lemongrass essential oil is very calming and citrusy just like Lemongrass. They are very highly concentrated and I would caution you to never use this directly on your face without diluting. Yes, I am telling this from my own experience. I thought of using this Lemongrass essential oil just like I use my tea tree essential oil on pimples. So when I used a drop of this over my pimples my skin started to burn because I didn’t dilute it. But I did notice that my inflammation instantly reduced in size. But I will strictly prevent you from using it directly. This may burn your skin and it is meant to be diluted before using.

Different ways to use Lemongrass essential oil

To treat pimples and acne

Dilute lemongrass essential oil in a carrier oil and then apply it over your pimples. This helps in killing the bacteria and you will also see the reduction in your pimple size.

Face mist

I prepare my own face mist (Read review— DIY Face Mist for Oily and Dry skin| Hair Mist) and to that, I added 2 drops of Satthwa Lemongrass essential oil. This gave a very nice and refreshing fragrance to my mist and at the same time gave a cooling and fresh feel to my face too. They have an antiseptic property which will kill any bacteria or pathogens thereby preventing pimple acne on the skin. This also helps in toning the face and maintaining a good skin by closing the pores.

Pain reliever

Lemongrass essential oil helps in reducing the muscle and joint pain. I used this in a diluted form on my mother and this provided her temporary relief from her muscle pain. Satthwa Lemongrass essential also gives immediate relief from headaches.

Insect and bug repellent

Lemongrass essential oil can be used to get rid of insects from the room or any place. They can be diluted and sprayed in the corners of the room.

Using it in a diffuser

Another way is to use it in a diffuser. Using it in a diffuser not just acts as an insects and bug repellent but will also make it a very calming and soothing place to stay in. Their fragrance is really very soothing and helps in getting a better sleep.

Natural diuretic and a detoxifier

I have heard that adding one drop of Lemongrass essential oil in your tea will help in removing all of the toxins from your body. You can add this to your salad as well. In the case of indigestion, dilute it with a carrier oil and massage it on your abdomen.

Foot bath

Adding 2-3 drops of Lemongrass essential oil in a warm water containing rock salt or any foot soak with help in relieving your foot ache.

Hair scalp therapy

Adding 2-3 drops of Lemongrass essential oil to your scalp while oiling or shampooing your hair can really help in removing dandruff and itchiness from your scalp.
