Sathumaavu Cutlet/ Sathumaavu Tikki Recipe

One of the biggest bestsellers at the Little Moppet Foods store is Sathumaavu, also called Health Mix powder. With a whopping 22 ingredients featuring cereals, lentils and dry fruit, it is the ultimate baby food!

But the best part about Sathumaavu is that its uses go way beyond just baby food. This powder is so nutritious that everyone can benefit from its ingredients. Here is a simple recipe to make with the versatile Sathumaavu Health Mix - Sathumaavu Cutlet or Sathumaavu Tikki. This is a great light snack for summers, and good enough for picky eaters!



  • 1 cup of Sathumaavu Health Mix
  • 1 boiled potato, mashed
  • 1 chopped onion
  • A pinch of pepper
  • Lots of chopped coriander
  • Salt as required


1. Mix the mashed potato with the Sathumaavu Health Mix.


2. Sprinkle a little water and add pepper and coriander leaves. Mix well till the consistency is as shown in the picture below:


3. Heat a pan and drizzle some oil. Make small balls from the potato mixture and flatten them slightly into cutlets.

4. Cook each cutlet well on both sides, till browned. Serve with sauce.
