San Francisco is alive with anticipation as the city gears up for a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show – one of the biggest in Northern California. Behind the scenes, Pyro Spectaculars by Souza have been hard at work to ensure the festivities go off without a hitch.
Pat Dyas, the show producer, likens the preparation process to Christmas for Santa Clause – and what better way to celebrate America’s Independence than with a breathtaking fireworks display?
This year, the team has implemented a strategy to outsmart last year’s fog: they are starting the show from the deck of the barge and filling in the lower level which was not filled in previously. This means that viewers will be able to enjoy fireworks shot across a wide stretch of sky, from 1,200 to 1,500 feet in height.
As San Francisco buzzes with excitement, we encourage everyone to make the most of this special occasion – get ready for an unforgettable night!
As they prayed for clear skies and no fog, the Farley family from Canada made the 636-mile trek to San Francisco for Independence Day. Despite weather concerns, Caroline Farley remains optimistic: “I know Americans love their country, and I wanted to experience that passion first-hand. It’ll be something that I won’t ever forget.”
Also in town to celebrate the Fourth are the Golden family, who decided to extend their visit and book a hotel room in San Francisco—all in the hopes of having “fun with the family and enjoying all the festivities.”
If you encounter any illegal fireworks displays tonight, Jonathan Baxter of SF Fire recommends being mindful. “It’s really important to keep 911 lines open this evening, and if you feel it necessary to report activity, please call 311 and provide an exact location as well as a description of anyone involved.”
