Samsung has been caught doing many things like stealing design ideas and rigging benchmark tests. But, it’s the first time I hear the company caught advertising on pirate sites. It’s not just Samsung though, many others like Nokia, ASUS and Nikon has also been busted for advertising on two major pirate websites in Ukraine.

10 percent of all ads on Ukraine’s major file-sharing websites, Ex.ua and FS.ua have been powered by well-known international companies such as Samsung, who’s responsible for 4.2 percent of that amount, followed by many other top brands.

These details were exposed by the Ukraine’s “Clear Sky“ initiative, which consists of 20 major Ukrainian internet platforms who have teamed up to clear the country name from being branded as one of the biggest “top piracy havens in the world.” The group has released this data to show that it’s the same people claims to despise piracy that helps to keep these websites alive.
