From reading over the reviews customers say that this model is hard to get replacement parts for, and also has some chipping of the coating on the exterior over time. All and all this model has amazing features and is rated well.
From my studies, the Samsung model would be a better purchase. The Samsung model has affordable pricing, good reviews and is Energy star. This model was reviewed as having low quality made parts, but those parts are replaceable as the LG model shows that parts are hard to get. If I were to purchase a refrigerator, I would choose the Samsung Model RF23J9011SR.
