With only a day away from the Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC 2013) event,  Samsung has decided to unwrap the packaging of its’ latest devices for this year by introducing the GALAXY Note 8.0.

Galaxy Note 8 is a tablet that comes with Samsung’s famous S-pen facility and the ability to make phone calls, which we don’t usually see on ordinary tablets. Basically, it’s more like a bigger version of the Note phablet.

Galaxy Note 8.0 specs -:

  • Display - 8-inch WXGA TFT display with 1280 x 800 resolution
  • Processor - 1.6 GHz Exynos 4 Quad CPU
  • RAM - 2GB of RAM
  • Storage - 16GB / 32 GB internal storage
  • Camera - 5MP back camera and 1.3MP camera on front
  • OS - Android 4.1 Jelly bean
  • Battery - 4,600mAh
  • Weight - 338g
  • Other features - microSD, WiFi, HSPA, Bluetooth 4.0

Samsung’s latest mid-sized tablet appears to be the rival challenger for Apple’s recently launched iPad Mini.  S Pen apps including S Note, S Planner and the ability to make calls will definitely help this tablet to stand out from the crowd.

Q2 2013 launch has been confirmed for Galaxy Note 8.0. However the pricing and availability details remains a mystery. More info on Samsung’s new tablet will be revealed next week in MWC 2013 event in Barcelona.
