S&S; Mobile Review: Infinite Warrior       Unfortunately for iOS owners, our beloved AppStore is chock-full of broken, awful, and just downright stupid games. Luckily for me (and you) I haven't reviewed many of these bad games in a fairly long time. But my luck must end sometime... And Infinite Warrior was the game to do it.

PLOT

S&S; Mobile Review: Infinite Warrior       You play as "The Warrior from the West" defending your kingdom from the "Tyrant King." In order to defeat his reign of terror you have to cut down hordes of his ruthless minions. It seems not much thought went into this bland, generic story. Still, It might seem a little more interesting to me if the game wasn't so amazingly broken.

GAMEPLAY
S&S; Mobile Review: Infinite Warrior
Infinite Warrior's gameplay, in theory, is very simple but is plagued with a variety of problems that really detract from the overall experience.  In order to defeat the "Tyrant King's" minions you have to perform and match intricate on-screen patterns. Unfortunately the frequent drops in frame rate cause you to constantly miss the cues and lose. The frame rate was pretty atrocious on an iPhone 4S, and only slightly better on an iPad 3. It was fairly uncommon for me to make it past the first three enemies on the first level. The game also includes customization for weapons and armor, but I couldn't get through the first level so I didn't get to experience it. Developer Empty Flask Games has crafted some unique gameplay mechanics for Infinite Warrior that would have made for an awesome game if they had better executed it. Hopefully a simple update could solve many of the obvious problems.
CONTROLS
S&S; Mobile Review: Infinite Warrior
The controls, like the rest of the game, would work well if the game wasn't completely broken. You defeat enemies by swiping your finger in the corresponding direction displayed on the foe's body. It seems very primitive but would most likely perform adequately.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Empty Flask Games created a unique premise for a game, with some alright game mechanics but that's about all they did right. Hopefully they will fix these game breaking bugs in the future, or another developer will make a similar game. Not worth the $0.99 or the space it takes up on your device.
