My first EVER makeup subscription box! Yay! This one was affordable (only $15 a month) and I am very impressed with my first delivery. I’m so giddy right now. Being able to sample products from different brands I’ve never used before…Ahhhhh, it invigorates me more than you can image. I told you guys before…. I’m a product junkie and this subscription box service will be my ultimate drug.
Let’s explore what I got this month and my initial thoughts!
RGB NAIL POLISH
RGB is a less-toxic nail polish brand. It doesn’t have the same chemicals as traditional nail polish. The box has an RGB nail polish in oxblood. I enjoyed trying this brand. I can easily tell the difference between it and traditional nail polish. It does not have that “potent” nail polish scent we all have a love-hate relationship with. It also dried extremely fast. The application was easy – good color payoff and no streaking. I applied 2 coats. But now that I look at it more, I could have done 3. It’s a great color and I’m liking the RGB brand.
ESTEE LAUDER EYE CREAM
Estee Lauder is a veteran in the skin care game. So I was excited to try a product from them. The
Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream is an anti-aging cream with ingredients to repair skin damage. I’ve applied this cream once so far so I can’t say how effective it is until after a month of use. But the cream-gel formula absorbs easily into the skin and it has a fresh scent. Best of all, it gives you about 30 seconds of a refreshing, cooling sensation that I love. I will be applying it the rest of the month. I got about a month’s supply.
BURBERRY GLOW LUMINOUS
Wow! This is my first Burberry item eva! Burberry Beauty Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base is a light, luminizing lotion. Like the Estee Lauder Repair Eye Cream, it has a cooling effect when applied. I was disappointed in this item. I didn’t see any difference when I mixed it into my foundation (MAC Pro Longwear NC42). It just didn’t bring the pow. Maybe the shade just isn’t a fix for me.
BUTTER LONDON TINTED BALM
Another first! This tinted lip balm in the shade Strawberry Fields serves as 2 firsts for me. My first
tinted lip balm and first Butter London product. I’m not big on the lipstick-balm revolution. I’m more of a lipstick or lip gloss kinda gal. And, honestly, lip balms simply bored me. But this one is highly pigmented. It’s like a lip butter. I like the shade and the way the product feels on my lips. It’s great for everyday makeup looks.
CRABTREE & EVELYN HAND THERAPY LOTION
Love! Love! Love! Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy Lotion is my favorite item in the box so far. This stuff smells amazing. Not only that…it lasts and lasts and lasts! The lotion is super luxurious. It makes your hands feel like velvet after using. It’s noot sticky or filmy. This was also a brand I had not tried before. Super glad I have now.
