Heroine Samantha who has not signed any new film post her return to films shoot is expected to sign a film soon. The film would be a Tamil biggie, sources say, starring none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay.
Reportedly the director of the film AL Vijay is keen to sign Samantha as heroine as so far she has not done any big film in Tamil opposite a star. This would bring freshness to the film feels the director. However the actress has not given her consent yet as she has many projects left to be finished. Once her complete schedule is sorted out she would be then signing new films, says the sources and they add that this project looks the most likely one to be confirmed.
In the past Samantha had a dream Tamil films line up with a film each in the direction of Gautam Menon, Mani Ratnam and Shankar, unfortunately she was dropped from films with Shankar and Mani Ratnam due to illness.
