Salon Melbourne

By Sparklingker @sparklingker

Last weekend a few of us bloggers ventured out to the Melbourne Exhibition building to attend an expo called Salon Melbourne. This is a trade only event which means that it is not opened to the general public. In saying that, the crowds were still huge!! We’re talking about the ticket line almost out the door at one point. As soon as I walked in, I felt so overwhelmed with the number of exhibitors and people! People were pushing and shoving at the popular stands (like Zoya), it was intense!! If you have been to IMATS, this event is similar but Salon Melbourne does also focus on hair and beauty salon equipment instead of just makeup.

Check out the crowds at the Rae Morris Fashion Week Makeup demonstration! Rae Morris was giving out some fantastic tips on how makeup can help make us ladies look younger by using the right techniques.

The Polaroid crew was out and about snapping photos and promoting their new camera.

I’m sure you are probably wondering what I bought, well here it is!! I got the Zoya Surf Collection ($30), 2 Zoya nail polishes ($6.25 each), top coat ($10) and a Bioderma Crealine H2O (250ml for $20). I’m quite happy with my mini stash. I tried the Bioderma a few nights ago and let me tell you, it is fantastic!! So good that it is now my HG cleanser.

I was planning on taking more photos for this post but as soon as I got there, I just completely forgot so I had to post with what have. This is a great event and I also met a few bloggers whose blogs I have been reading for a while now. I’ll definitely be heading back next year, kind of regret not getting more Zoya polishes!

Did you go Salon Melbourne?

Items were purchased with my own money.
