Aureila and Tom have traveled extensively and brought a number of influences into their wedding. When I met the boys in the morning, they were preparing the venue which had a real outdoor party theme. The campfires were set up and plenty of bails of straw to sit on. Aurelia got ready at her parents amazing house which overlooks St Albans Cathedral. The house was full of activity including the string quartet practicing in a room upstairs. St Albans Cathedral is simply massive. The ceremony was in the Lady Chapel which itself is bigger than most churches yet it sits just at the end of the cathedral itself. After the ceremony, The newlyweds hopped on a bike with Aurelia sitting side saddle and they made they way through the town. They actually continued the 3 miles to the reception!
In a break from traition, the wedding breakfast was catered by their favourite Indian restaurant. It was loved by all the guests. After the speeches, everyone enjoyed the fantastic sunset and when the fires were started, the marshmallows suddenly appeared. After the first dance, the whole wedding party came outside to be entertained by Toms brother and friends on their acoustic guitars. It was a lovely finish to their garden wedding.
