Before Baby F was born I decided to purchase a baby monitor just in case. We had set up the crib in our bedroom so there would probably not be many situations where we would need to use a baby monitor but it has been useful. When Baby F was less mobile I could leave him in his crib or playpen and take a shower when my Fiance was not home, I would just take the monitor in the bathroom with me and turn it up loud so I could hear him over the sound of the shower and bathroom fan. These days he is much more active so I give him a snack and put him in his high chair in the bathroom so I can sneak a quick shower and still keep a close eye on him.
Since I did not plan on needing to use the baby monitor on a regular basis I did not see the need to spend a lot of money on one. I went to Sears and purchased the lowest priced one available the Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor it was around $30. Before I took it out of the box I read some reviews on line and I was worried because a lot of them were negative reviews. I decided we could try it and if it was really that bad I would return it to Sears.
I am very happy with the Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor! It can be used plugged into a wall outlet or with batteries. I also think its great that this product comes in Eco Conscious packaging! The monitor is very clear, no static. If you are looking for a simple affordable baby monitor the Safety 1st Crystal Clear Baby Monitor is a great option.
Although we are not getting much use out of it right now, when we transition Baby F to his own room it will be wonderful.-EARTH SEA MAMA
