The title track from her first full-length album, Ryn Weaver’s “The Fool” is right in line with the collection of pop gems from her 2014 EP Promises. Like her previous work, “The Fool” plays on the dynamics between her unique vocal quiver and melody and the explosiveness of her choruses. The real appeal, though, lies in her ability to turn what could be a generic pop anthem (albeit an excellent one) into, with the right addition of distinct, quirky flourishes, a really interesting listen. Following the June 16 release of The Fool and some festival plays, she’ll be touring the US for the first time, so take note and be sure to catch the live act!
