It’s part antique shop, part furniture shop, and full of items that just fills you full of WANT.
Scottsburg, Indiana: Rough Edges
The front windows are eye-catchingly arranged in this Scott County antiques and more shop. I already knew it was going to be good just from what I saw hanging out in the window!
But stepping inside just didn’t prepare me. There is a lot of furniture here! I saw sofas and chairs and dining room tables and benches and china cabinets–and it was all priced to sell AND in shabby chic styling.
Some items are creatively painted or distressed a smidgen while others are in a nice white coat of paint. Still, others display their original wood coloring. In other words? There is something for everyone!

More than furniture, used book lovers will greatly enjoy the many-shelved area near the back. It’s quite the book nook!
I saw a lot of good titles mixed in there. There’s also shelves of home decor and walls of tin signs (perfect for a man cave), and all sorts of other things to spruce up your home right here at this Indiana town shop.
Too bad I got in at Rough Edges right before they closed. But, I browsed like a pro and…I didn’t leave empty-handed either.

It’s entirely possible that the mirror on the left in the image to the right is now hanging on my dining room wall between two long windows. With our tall ceilings, it works very well!
It’s also possible that this wasn’t our only purchase in Scottsburg, Indiana that day. My goodness those Indiana antique shops, especially in this town, are amazing! Consider yourself warned.
