I am about to head out for 4 days of amazing music and experiences at the huuuuuge Roskilde Festival. It will be my 3rd year in a row working at Roskilde, and I feel really fortunate to be able to be part of this. Once again, I am shooting for Roskilde Festival itself. And what am I bringing, besides a liter of sunblock to deal with this European heatwave?
Keep It Simple – My setup for photographing Roskilde Festival 2018.
Cameras:
Fujifilm X-H1 & X-T2
Lenses:
Fujinon 16mm F1.4
Fujinon 23mm F2
Fujinon 35mm F1.4
Fujinon 50mm F2
Zeiss 12mm F2.8
My primary setup will be the two cameras with the 16mm and the 35mm lenses. I love working this way, keeping it simple for myself and also minimising changing lenses in the hectic photo pits. The 12mm lens is for those extra wide crowd shots and the 50mm is for closer shots of the artists. Not sure how much I will use the nice 23mm but sometimes the 16mm is a bit too wide standing in the photopit. All of it fits easily inside my 5 Dollar Camera Bag.
Oh, Boba Fett chose the X-H1 because you need a stabilised sensor when using a jetpack. Vader chose the X-T2 because, well, who needs image stabilisation when you have the force!
And of course, funky festival sunnies and that liter of sunblock and I am ready to hopefully make some awesome pictures! Stay tuned!
