Romney Surveys the Vice-presidential Landscape; Journalists Crack up Eric the Blue

Posted on the 31 March 2012 by Erictheblue

I don't read every word of the newspaper, even on weekends, but without a doubt the funniest line in today's Star Tribune occurs near the end of an article about how Team Romney is beginning to think about the vice-president question:

In 2008, McCain vetted Romney, so Romney knows how painstaking the vetting process can be.

Ah, yes, the vetting process!  So painstaking that at the end only one woman was standing.  The half-term governor of Alaska who, having endured the painstaking vetting process, fell to pieces when Katie Couric started knocking around the empty chambers of her mind.

Palin is what she is.  The real disgrace is always going to be that McCain chose her.  Shame, shame.
