Rocking A Red Lip

It's no secret that I have large features. Bum, Tum & Forehead included. One thing that I wish was a bit bigger are my lips (please, if there's a body god, take it from my Flamingo wings and shove it in my lips!) which is why i'm no stranger to rocking a red lip.

I always find a red lip compliments my complexion (fairer than Casper the ghost..) and emphasizes my lips without needing to overline them.
Right now, I have been using Mac 'Brick' lipliner, blended in, then filled with Mac Russian Red and a pop of gloss (I've been using the Pixi 'Cake' Topper which has gold flecks in it) right in the center of the lips, just to give a fuller illusion.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want huge lips or anything, just lips that are more in proportion with my big moon face would be nice!
I do like a pink or nude lip, but for me, my go to 'Oooh I look alright today' lip is red.
Most people will find it strange to see someone rocking a red lip in Spring or Summer, but for me, different tones of red work for each season. a more orange toned red for the sunny seasons (if they exist in Scotland, 31 years in and I'm still optimistic...) and a deeper red for the colder months.
