To join our construction team, we are searching for a skilled pipe layer. You will be in charge of evaluating the ground’s conditions, digging trenches, putting pipes together, and placing pipes in accordance with city ordinates as a pipe layer. Additionally, you might need to build auxiliary lines, seal joints, and remove outdated plumbing systems.

You need to be extremely physically strong and have solid practical understanding of pipe fitting methods to succeed as a pipe layer. A proficient pipe layer should be able to choose, install, and seal pipes swiftly and effectively without slowing down the construction crew’s work.

Pipe Layer Responsibilities:

  • calculating and setting up pipe paths.
  • assembling installation tools and materials.
  • trenching equipment, both manual and mechanical.
  • use magnetic or radio indications to find installed pipe systems.
  • removing outdated or damaged plumbing networks.
  • placing pipe spacers and burying pipes in trenches.
  • examining pipe alignment and using cement adhesive to seal pipes.
  • setting up auxiliary lines
  • sealing pipe fittings and joints that are visible.
  • excavations for pipes and sealing them.

Pipe Layer Requirements:

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • experience as a pipe layer in the workplace.
  • thorough understanding of pipe fitting and building methods.
  • understanding of water mains, sewer systems, and storm drains.
  • knowledge of trenching equipment operated by a machine.
  • the capacity to read and comprehend city maps and layouts.
  • Outstanding physical condition and the capacity to move large stuff.
  • a good ability to communicate.
  • ability to labor outside in challenging weather.
