Rob Klerkx & The Secret: Back To Cumberland - volume 1

Dutch band Rob Klerkx & The Secret went straight to source for their new album Back To Cumberland - volume 1, expanding their concept of "explosive Americana". Band leader Rob Klerkx made ac couple of trips to Nashville, his home away from home, and came back with a stack of song that were penned with writers like Jeff Bates, Sherry Kai Kuybus, Jess Brown, Keith Dozier, Ryan Griffin, Kassie Jordan and Troy Brooks.

Back To Cumberland - volume 1 tells the stories of migrants trying to find their bearings in the South of the USA. Hard times, good times, love, loss, all aspects of life are covered when they travel along Cumberland River before settling down.

Roots rock works best when it is recorded live and that's when they up shop at IJland studios in Amsterdam. The band has three guitar players, so they had no trouble creating six-strings walls as if they were an original Southern Rock band, plus two ace backing vocalists adding to the Seventies feel.

All they need now is trustworthy booking agent who can set up a Stateside tour. Then they can wow the natives their homegrown music peppered with an Amsterdam attitude.
