Girls and guys alike both rate Rihanna as hotter than a Scotch Bonnet chilli so we were fired up by chance to meet her makeup artist and discover what products she uses on her famous face and how.

Karin Darnell used to make up the Sugababes’ faces before meeting Rihanna and needed a brand that catered for varying complexion tones. She discovered IMAN, which is based on three groups of foundation shades; sand, clay and earth, and never looked back.
Fresh from working on Rihanna’s latest video shoots for California King Bed and Man Down as well as her latest red carpet look at the Billboard Music Awards (pictured), she explained that this summer the star’s looks are very natural, with luminous skin being the focus. “It’s simple-sexy, not too ‘try-hard’ - we’ve done that!”
The hero product she’s using the new Luxury Radiance Liquid which is mineral-based giving sheer coverage with a glow. To find your right foundation shade she recommends you match it to the outer edge of your face and to find your perfect concealer color (they shouldn’t be the same unless you want to look two-dimensional) is to match it to the skin on your chest or inner wrist.
To get that A-list look Karin says it’s all in the covering and highlighting. Use the Concealer Cover Cream under the eyes and blend it upwards and out. Apply a highlighting eyeshadow at the very top of your eyelids to enhance your brow shape, and highlight the bridge of your nose and your cupids bow with a pressed powder in a lighter shade to your foundation.
