Ingredients :
Milk : 1 kg
Rice : 50 gmsSugar : 75-100 gms
Saffron : a pinch
Cardamom powder :1/8 tsp
Almonds (Chopped) : 1 tbsp
Pistachios (Chopped) : 1 tbsp
Raisins : 1 tbsp
Chiraunji nuts : 1/2 tsp
Method :
1. Wash rice, changing water until the water appears clear. Soak rice in clean water for about 30 minutes.
2. Boil milk in a deep bottomed pan, boil it till it reduces to 3/4th.3. Add rice to the milk and stir it continuously for about 10-15 mins or until rice is cooked. Cook it on low flame so that it doesn't get burnt.
4. When rice is cooked, add sugar and stir it for 5 minutes or till sugar gets dissolved.
5. Mix saffron strands in a few drops of milk and add it to the above mixture (step#4).
6. Add cardamom powder, pistachios, almonds, chiraunji nuts and raisins.
7. Garnish with almonds, pistachios and chiraunji nuts.
8. Serve hot or cold.

# Adding saffron milk gives a lovely aroma and color.# You can serve it hot or cold. Some people prefer it cold, refrigerate it when it cools down.
