Happy 2014 to all readers. I know it's an obvious tune to start the year with, but with a new album out soon, and a not-so-well-received comeback single, I feel that people need a reminder of their worth. Do you remember when U2 were REALLY good? Personally my favorite era was the 'Achtung Baby'/'Zooropa' period when everything went a bit weird, but the magnificent live LP 'Under A Blood Red Sky' sounds hugely exciting even today, nearly 31 years later. The album consists of live recordings from three shows on the band's War Tour from Colorado, Boston in the US and Germany. The title of the album is in fact taken from the lyrics of 'New Year's Day', which was originally released on 1983's 'War'... This track was recorded at Sankt Goarshausen, Germany on 20 August 1983.
