This week's Friday Banger is a minimal techno classic from the early 90s. This thumping offering from the Dutch pioneer Speedy J was originally released back in 1991, and was something of a crossover hit for the Rotterdam-based DJ and producer. The brilliant 'Pull Over' is a demonstration of what can be achieved by applying imagination to a mixture of simple yet effective elements. Speedy J (born Jochem George Paap) went on to release more experimental projects which were said to have had a great influence on the development of the 'IDM' (intelligent dance music) genre in the early 2000s.
