REWIND: Oasis - 'Full On'Three years after the massively overhyped 'Be Here Now', Oasis released their fourth album 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' in February 2000. The chaotic carefree vibe of its bloated predecessor was absent, and a lot of their fourth album sounded very much like a hangover. It was also the first album to be released after the departure of Bonehead and Guigsy, who left during the troubled recording of the LP. The third single to be lifted from 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' was the drab 'Sunday Morning Call', which was released in July 2000, a few weeks before I watched the band play at the Leeds Festival. Luckily, the B sides on the single were both better than 'Sunday Morning Call' itself, especially the mighty roar of 'Full On'. I always wondered what this song would have sounded like with Liam on vocals...
