A storming track I discovered on the ZTT compilation '30 Years Of Zang Tuum Tumb', which was released a few months ago. Read my review of it HERE. Originally featuring Nellee Hooper on the turntables, Nasty Rox Inc. were pivotal for the time, and were one of the first acts to mix dance and rock music. The band signed to ZTT in 1987, fusing a bass/guitar/vocals rock line-up with scratching, samples and a house music mentality. They were on the front cover of the NME and awarded the magazine's Single Of The Week with their debut 12” 'Escape From New York'. They released one album, 1988's 'Ca$h', from which this superb tune is taken.
