Released 20 years ago this week in October, this reached number 33 in the UK Welsh indie combo Catatonia were at their best when delivering sweetness with a venomous bite, and 'Game On' is a fine example. It was the second lowest charting of the singles taken from their second album 'International Velvet', which launched them into the mainstream. Band members Cerys Matthews and Mark Roberts wrote this track while they were in a troubled relationship. Two albums later and the band would split. Matthews is now one of BBC 6Music's top presenters, and pops up often on TV and radio.
