This trance classic went to number 26 in the UK singles chart when it was released in September 1998. Backed by Paul van Dyk and Gouryella remixes, '1998' became the British act's best known track. It went on to be remixed numerous times under the title of the year the remix was produced ("1999" and "2000" etc.), many of which were popular club tracks.
