Hello my angels!
How is everyone doing? As some of you might be aware, liquid lipsticks are all the rage these days. And when almost every other brand is launching their range of liquid lip colours, how could have Revlon lagged behind?
So Revlon recently launched its Ultra HD Matte lip Colour Range in India and we got the shade Devotion for review purposes. This little tube of liquid lip color retails for a whopping 1195 bucks. Like seriously, 1200 bucks for a drugstore brand lipstick? So many of you wanted to know if the lipstick is worth investing in or not, and here we are to answer all your queries.
The lipstick comes in a very basic tube like packaging with a sponge tip applicator attached to the wand. There is nothing too unique or expensive about the packaging. Honeslty, if a brand expects me to pay that much money for a single product I expect it to look fancy and shizz. But the packaging is pretty convenient and practical.
Now coming to the shade, Devotion is a pretty neutral pinky toned lip color which I see working for quite a lot of skin tones. The shade though a cramy matte has very fine shimmer particles in it. These shimmers are so finely milled that they do not look glittery infact it makes the lips look healthy!
Though revlon calls it a matte lip colour, but the lipstick is no where near to being matte. It may pass as a creamy velvety fin ish, but not matte. Anyhow the texture is buttery smooth and it glides on the lips like a dream.
The lipstick transfers a lot. Like a lot. If your lips touch something; anything for that case--the lipstick tends to slip and shift. But a great aspect of the lipstick is that it does not bleed and also stains the lips so the lips do not look bare when the lipstick fades off.
Do we recommend?
If you are on the look out for a velvety finish liquid lipstick which does not stay for long and needs to be reapplied after 4 hours of wear, you can definitely go for it, It is really comfortable to wear. But if you want a matte liquid lipstick, just don't. I would not!
