L’oreal Paris Infallible Eyshadow.

My experience:

I got this in April, I didn’t even know this shade was launched in India, I haven’t seen it anywhere online in any of the Indian blogs. On searching about it, I found out this shade was launched abroad much later than the original ones alongwith a few more. Guys have you seen this anywhere around you? Do let me know

Anyway, I’m so glad to get my hands on this, as it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve seen. Just look at the other shades launched with this here. Why did I never know these shades exist!!! Each one of them is so beautiful, no? I will definitely like to hunt down these other shades and get them

I was just there at the L’oreal counter at my nearby beauty store where I spotted this and it looked so beautiful in the pan I had to buy it!

Yes, I hate to admit it but this is one of my first of these infallible eyeshadows (alongwith Endless Chocolate) that everyone raves about so much. I generally dislike pigments and loose powders etc, so I stayed away from these till now despite reading rave reviews about them, I just thought I could never work with these. But this metallic lilac just stole my heart right away.

And now since this one has made me overcome the reluctance of trying pigments, I’ll definitely be checking out more in this range and then maybe, just maybe, move on to looser pigments. (I just made up this term but I mean pigments that are more powdery and messy

). There are quite a lot of beautiful shades in this range that i want

The L’Oreal infallible eyeshadows are packaged in a plastic container. The container has a black stopper to keep the product pressed and in control. The packaging does look classy but is not very convenient to use. I always fear I’ll drop it and it’ll become all messy and go waste

however the packaging is travel friendly, as its made of plastic and is very light and compact and it shuts tightly. The bottom of the container is transparent so you can see the shade from there and store them upside down if you have a lot of these. Pst pst. .. even if you hold the container upside down with the stopper and lid removed, they don’t come out


The eye shadow is actually not a pressed shadow. It is loose but packed tightly in the container so it does appear pressed but is actually not so.

The texture of the shadow is very soft and creamy. It’s also very pigmented as one swipe gives a good amount of color. Since the product is not completely in pressed form, it does have some fallout. Applying these with a fluffy brush can increase the fallout I feel.

The best way to apply this eyeshadow is to pat it on the lids rather than spreading or dragging it. I find this easier to apply with fingers rather than a brush.

I like the staying power of this eyeshadow. It stays on my eyelids for 5-6 hours very easily after which I had removed it. It creases a little after 4-5 hours but nothing major.

In the pan the shade Metallic Lilac looks absolutely stunning. It’s a beautiful purple, grey-ish shade with flecks of pink and lilac. But on the eyes it comes out more of a silver gray than purple/lilac. Actually in different lights you can see the purple of the shadow. It is definitely a gorgeous shade

and I’m totally in love with it it also looks great if worn with a light hand, just a wash of sheer color on eyelids  if you can find this shade, definitely try it:)

For the price we pay, I find the amount is decent enough.

Leaving you with only the swatches of this shade, I’ll show you this shade on my eyes too super soon! The swatches here are just one swipe with my finger.

Overall, L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow is a great mid-range eyeshadow with amazing texture, good staying power and a good range of shades. Definitely worth buying
