Let us study the Review of Action Launcher vs Nova Launcher. We will try our best to cover both Android Launchers’ reviews completely.
I’ve always been curious about Android launchers. It’s incredible how much you can alter and fully personalize the appearance of your phone’s home screen by adding a third-party launcher. There are many fantastic launchers in the Play Store, some of which have unique characteristics.
Android users have shown the strongest affection for Nova, one of the launchers. Moreover, there is the Action Launcher. Even though they both provide practically the same characteristics, they are very different.
The two launchers Action and Nova will compare in this article. You will have a thorough understanding of all the fantastic features offer both of these excellent programs by the conclusion.
Let’s start now.

SIZE OF THE APP; Review of Action Launcher vs Nova Launcher
The size of the Nova Launcher and the Action Launcher varies greatly. Action Launcher is twice as large (10–11MB), whereas Nova Launcher is only 5–6MB.
THE THEMES; Review of Action Launcher vs Nova Launcher
You will like Action Launcher if you have a sweet spot for themes. You may customize and automatically change the colors of your home screen. Just the Material Lite or Dark themes are available in the free version. Colors cannot change on a per-color basis.
It’s entirely different from the premium version, though. These themes can alter in any way you choose. You may alter the backdrop of the dock, the status bar, all of the applications, and more. Through these adjustments, new themes may essentially produce.
Not only that, but the commercial edition of Action Launcher also has a theme option called Wallpaper where the colors of your home screen are identical to those of the wallpaper. As a result, the theme’s colors are constant.
Besides the standard light mode, Nova Launcher now has a Night option. The customization options are limited compared to Action Launcher. It does, however, allow you to select the night mode schedule, which is rather intriguing. Nova Prime is not necessary for this function, which is free.
THE QUERY BOX
Action Launcher aims to make the latest Android and Pixel launcher features available on older gadgets. Google shifted the Pixel Launcher’s search bar from the top to the bottom last year. Although the position and color of the search box can be changed in both Nova and Action Launcher, I found the options in Action Launcher to be more user-friendly. The search box settings in Nova Launcher are dispersed.
The search box may position above or below the dock icons using an extra setting in Nova Launcher, but not in Action Launcher.
Yet the search box in Action Launcher has some more functions. You might incorporate app shortcuts into the search field, for instance. The search box’s corner sizes can also manually adjust. With each of them, the free edition offers access to all search box modifications.

ICON AND GRID SIZE; Review of Action Launcher vs Nova Launcher
Both of these applications provide free customization options for the grid size on the home screen and app drawer. But, with the free versions of both programs, you cannot alter the size of any one icon.
Instead of the large, unattractive icons found in Action Launcher, Nova Launcher at least offers modest icons in the free version.
TITLES FOR THE TEXT
Although you can turn off text labels in both applications, Nova Launcher has more customization options. Labels can have different sizes and colors. Action Launcher does not have this functionality.
INDICATORS FOR ICONS
Google first made app shortcuts available in Android 7.1. App shortcuts are supported by both launchers, but Action Launcher makes it simple to find the ones that do. For apps that enable shortcuts, this launcher adds a notification to the bottom right corner. In Nova Launcher, this is not an option.
UNEXPECTED BANNER
The unread badge is what ultimately convinced me to abandon Pixel Launcher in favour of alternative launchers. Sadly, Pixel Launcher does not support counts; just notification dots are supported.
But, it’s a relief that both of these launchers work with both sorts of unread badges. Unfortunately, Action Launcher also charges for unread badges, much like Nova Launcher does. Why did they act this way? Indeed, I am aware. Finally, we learned about Review of Action Launcher vs Nova Launcher .
