REVIEW: NAKED 2 PALETTE
I know this is probably one of the most talked about products online, but since receiving it for Christmas I've been itching to write a review about it. I've had the Naked palette for several years now and it's still going strong (although it looks a bit battered), now I have the Naked 2 palette I'm struggling to decide which I prefer.
First of all I really like the packaging of this palette, I like how it has a hard shell and it clips shut. It's much easier to keep clean and is better to travel with, it also looks sleeker as it's shiny and doesn't pick up fluff.
I was impressed that it came with 4 samples of the Urban Decay primer potion, I have used this for years so I already know that it's great. However I wasn't aware that there was a shade called 'sin' which is very similar to the eye shadow in the shade sin. This primer creates a great base for a shimmery look so it's been perfect over the festive season. Using a primer makes such a difference to the pigmentation of the eye shadow and acts as a glue to hold your eye shadow in place all day.
So onto the actual eye shadows, I really love the shades. When I first opened it I thought that they're all very similar to the first Naked palette, but now I've started using it I've realised that they aren't. It's so easy to create looks with and it has a good selection of colours. There's a variety of light base colours, medium shades and colours that blend well into the crease. It would be nice if there were perhaps just 2 more matte shades, but it doesn't put me off that there isn't. I really like creating different looks and I've began to like shimmery eye shadows a lot more for a daytime look.
I've found that I sometimes use shades from the Naked palette as well as the Naked 2, which I think is great because it means I'll still get use from my other one. I like how there isn't 2 shades exactly the same between the 2 palettes, and ones that are similar will blend nicely together. Next on my list is definitely the Naked 3.
My current favorite shades are - bootycall, pistol and verve. What are your favorite shades?
