Review - L’Oreal Professionnel Série Expert Silver Shampoo

Hello, my lovelies and Fortunate Saturday! How is your weekend going, do you have any specific plans for tonight? :) I just needed to say a huge ‘Thank you!’ to each of you who tweeted/e-mailed me for my anniversary yesterday, you truly made the day so much more extraordinary! Thank you so much, it really expresses a lot! I had a fantastic day, using some class time with my loved ones and having tons of yummy food haha!
For today, I needed to share with you my small secret for beautiful brassy-free hair and it is this L’Oreal Professionnel Série Expert Silver Shampoo. A several months ago I determined that I wanted to go back to my lighter, highlighted blonde hair and I definitely love how it looks on me! However, one difficulty that many fellow blondies have is that the ideal colour, which we leave the salon with usually loses its prettiness shortly after and we’re left with a yellowish/brassy curls.

L’Oreal Professionnel Série Expert Silver Shampoo

Every time I highlight my hair I more tone it so that the mean yellow tones stay at bay for longer. After two weeks though my hair always gets a bit brassy (which I completely hate) and then the only way to have it nice and ashy is with this Silver shampoo from L’Oreal.
The Silver shampoo is intended to use as a toner at home, to eliminate the orange / yellow tones from our hair and to make it more shiny and glossy. When you open the bottle don’t be disturbed from the bright, intense purple color of the shampoo – it’s exactly what transports the brassy tones. You may have remarked, looking at the color wheel, that the different color of yellow is purple. Accordingly, the two colours offset each other and that’s why most purple-based shampoos work wonders in getting rid of unpopular yellow tones.
The reason I favour this one from L’Oreal though is that it not only completely defeats the brassiness (it is more intense than any other I’ve tried) but it also cleans my hair really well and it’s pretty affordable. I've remarked that it makes my highlights look more limited, which is amazing! I like to use this shampoo once every two weeks and I love that its impact really lasts for such a long time, unlike many others I’ve tried. The shampoo foams really well and I like to let it sit on my hair for about 5 minutes.
What I don’t really like about this shampoo is that it’s a bit drying (particularly if you give it for longer) so after doing it I like to soak my hair in my personal Macadamia Deep Repair Mask so that it’s perfectly conditioned and soft and I highly suggest you use some kind of conditioner as well! (: It’s safe to say that the Silver shampoo reveals its commitment to making our hair glossy/shiny but as far as it waits ashy I’m not protesting too much.
Oh, forgot to mention that a little bit of this product leaves a long way, so make assured you don’t use too much because it may exhaust out your hair further!! I am also not especially fond of the smell of this product – it’s really odd but the great thing is that it doesn’t stay in your hair after you washed it. :) Just a little heads up while doing this stuff – don’t leave it on for more than 5-6 minutes because your hair may get a bit purple-y. Also, make assured that you wash your hands instantly after you’ve shampooed unless your hands will make stained.
So blondies, if you’re the identical as me and you’re tired of becoming brassy/yellow hair I highly help you to go and perform this hair saver a try! I completely swear by it and it’s my hands down toning shampoo! Being really thought, unlike many other purple shampoos on the market, it does sure that you’ll have a wonderful ashy blonde hair and you won’t want to get it professionally toned.
This little gem also washes especially well and gives a nice fresh sensation to the scalp. It serves to be a bit drying though so I recommend you to follow with your preferred conditioner or a mask and to give it for a bit longer than normal so that your hair recovers its natural moisture. As far as I’m conscious you can get your hands on this shampoo only in particular hair salons or online. A big distance to get this from is Feelunique because their rates are always conscious and they also give free shipping worldwide! :)
