Review: Hue Animation Kit

By Smilinglikesunshine @smilinglikesuns
We  recently received a Hue Animation Kit to review. It basically is a stop motion animation kit, including the HUE HD camera, software and 60-page book.
Review: Hue Animation Kit
I am really impressed with the kit as it is so easy to use it. I downloaded it onto our laptop which only took a couple of minutes.
To create an animation you take a photo of an object using the camera, move it a little and then take another picture and the software turns it into an animation. You can add sound, decide how fast/slow each picture is.

Defne was very excited by the idea and drew pictures and made up stories.
Then I told Defne ( just turned 8 years old) how it can  be used to make her very own film. We watched a few videos on the Hue Animation website to inspire her.
The kit is very child friendly and develops children's technology skills as well as their creativity.
As it was Christmas holiday, they were playing with legos. Defne decided to make  lego ornaments and then she decided to make an animation film of the tutorial.
video This little film turned out to be the best of her animations. She is still learning how to edit the sound so it is not perfect but I really like how accessible and child friendly the whole kit is. It is very creative and  unique.
We have really enjoyed exploring the kit and I highly recommend it. It  would make a fantastic birthday present. Right now, it is on sale, too! So please check it out here
