REVIEW: Garnier Ultimate Blends
I'm really quite fussy when it comes to haircare and for awhile now I have stuck to Tresemme. However in the recent warm weather, I noticed my hair had become a little frizzy. Although Tresemme did nourish my hair, it didn't seem to ease the frizz at all, so I decided to try something different.
I decided to try the new Ultimate Blends range from Garnier. It claims to be 'the sleek restorer' and this is the main reason why I decided to try these products. The first thing I noticed is the smell, the shampoo & conditioner both contain Coconut Oil & Cocoa butter so they have a lovely smell. The smell also stays in your hair after washing which is nice.
The shampoo creates an amazing lather, which also has a strangely creamy texture and you can really feel the oil in the shampoo. No matter what shampoo I use it's always a pain to rinse out because my hair is so thick, I think this is something I'll never escape. After using the shampoo, I apply conditioner all over my hair. I do apply a little conditioner to my roots as I've found that this helps to ease the frizz. I then run the conditioner through the ends of my hair using my fingers. It smooths through my hair easily and doesn't pull too much if I come across a tangle.
I like to leave  my hair to dry naturally, however before using this shampoo I used to find that I got alot of fly away pieces of hair. Since using these products, I've found my hair feels much better after leaving it to dry naturally. It feels nourished and silky, and can be brushed or styled easily, without having that horrible fluffy or dry look. I still find myself having to use a little hairspray to smooth away fly aways when putting my hair up, but it's much better than it was.
