Price: INR 225 for 100ml

Available at Fabindia stores and a few online stores.

My experience:

This was a totally random purchase made while shopping for kurtis at Fabindia. I really like trying new face packs but I’ve never finished any as I get bored with them

:(

This pack claiming to have haldi chandan attracted me and I bought it thinking it’ll be perfect for the upcoming summers

:P

So did it live up to my high expectations?

The face pack comes in a regular plastic Fabindia tub. The tub is sturdy and travel friendly. But it can’t be called totally hygienic as dipping fingers in it to take out the product can contaminate it. I use an ice-cream spoon to take it out. It also has an inner plastic lid.

The face pack is a thick, yellow coloured paste. It smells strongly of sandalwood and I really like the scent.

On applying the pack, there is a tingling sensation on the whole face but it doesn’t cause any irritation or break out.

After rinsing it off, my face feels fresh and clean.

Since it’s a multani mitti/Fuller’s earth based pack, it’s great for controlling oil. My skin is combination and is mostly oily in summers. I find that it does make my T-zone feel much less oily than usual and gives a very clean feeling. But sometimes it enhances the dryness if I have some on my cheeks. But a good moisturizer takes care of that. So, dry skinned girls need to stay away from this.

I don’t find any glow from this face pack and that’s where it disappoints me. Yes my face looks fresh and clean but not glowing. Basically it does what simple multani mitti would also do and better than this!

I don’t have any pimples or acne so I can’t tell you how it works on them.

I have this face pack since more than a month. Initially I was happy with it as it cleaned my skin well and controlled oil to an extent and almost whole of April I used this religiously 1-2 times a week expecting it to make skin radiant/glowing in the long run but nothing of that sort happened.

Also, another area where it disappoints me is that it contains SLES. I don’t see the need of SLES in a product which is not required to foam up or lather. I regret not seeing the ingredients when I bought it. I don’t like piling unnecessary chemicals on myself and because of this I wouldn’t be repurchasing this face pack ever.

Overall, it’s an average face pack at a decent price. It cleans the face well and controls oil but does nothing exceptional. The addition of chemicals makes me dislike it.

Why you’ll like it:

1)   Sturdy and travel friendly tub.

2)   Cleans face well.

3)   Controls oil to an extent.

4)   Doesn’t irritate or break out skin.

5)   Smells great.

6)   Budget friendly.

7)   Easily available.

Why you’ll dislike it:

1)   Doesn’t give any glow.

2)   Contains SLS.

3)   Won’t suit dry skinned girls.

4)   Unhygienic tub packaging.

To buy or not to buy?

Not buy! There are many other better face packs in the market.

My rating:

5/10
